Double-row angular contact ball bearings – standard series
Double-row angular contact ball bearings are suitable for medium radial loads and small-to-medium axial loads in both directions for medium to high speeds. Simply, this is a back-to-back mounting of two single-row angular contact ball bearings, but their inner and outer rings are each integrated into one. Axial loads can be sustained in both directions, and the capacity to sustain moments is good. This type is used as a fixed-end bearing.
Double-row angular contact ball bearings are very sensitive to ring misalignment. They are produced in two versions according to the size of the contact angle.
The 32… J and 33… J series have a contact angle of 32° and a cage pressed from sheet steel. They have filling grooves on one side. Therefore, they should be mounted so that the predominant axial force loads a row of balls on the side without filling grooves.
The 32… BTNG and 33... BTNG have a contact angle of 25° and a cage made of glass fibre reinforced polyamide 66. These bearings do not have filling grooves and can therefore transmit axial loads in both directions.
Double-row angular contact ball bearings with the additional designation BTNG are available in the open version, and also with shields or seals on one or both sides. All bearings of types 32… BTNG and 33… BTNG are supplied with lubricating grease as standard. For operating temperatures above 110°C, steel cage bearings are used.
Bearing series: 32.., 33.., 52.., 53..
