The K1 sealing and lubrication units ensure long-term maintenance-free operation and a long service life.

This progressive solution ensures both lubrication and sealing of linear guides and ball screws.

NSK has developed a highly porous synthetic resin, a special polyolefin that contains large volume of lubricant oil. Unit K1 contains 70% mineral oil and 30% porous synthetic material polyolefin.

The K1 unit is a compact lubrication unit that continuously delivers the optimal amount of oil to the surfaces of the raceways. Touching its surface to the raceway of a rail close to the ball contact point, K1 constantly supplies fresh oil which seeps from the resin.

Since its world premier in 1995, K1 has become the standard and most-requested component of NSK linear guides and ball screws.
